Random Make Up reveiw - Bronze Make Up

Hi a guy I was in desperate need for some new and exciting products to play with so I went shopping!
In Australia we have a great store called Price Line. I always shop here for all my little and basic make up products. After I went to shopping I filmed a bronzed makeup look tutorial with these products, after using them, I thought I might do a review on them to let you guys know what I think  J
Check out my YouTube tutorial using most of these products.

Let’s start with Face of Australia “mineral therapy” Illuminator
$11.96 From: Priceline
First reaction I was excited about the colour, it was so glittery and such a deep bronze colour.
When I opened the product I tried to squeezes a bit out and heaps came out so I was sad L lol but i got through hahaahah.
I wasn't sure if I should apply the products with my fingers or a brush so I decided to use a long handled foundation brush. I found it a bit messy squeezing some out from the tube and dabbing my brush on the top, so I decided to squeeze a small amount out onto a old eye shadow pallet lid. I found it so much easier to grab the amount I needed to apply on my face.
After applying my foundation I applied the bronzing cream to my cheeks, out to my ears, temples, almost to my nose, top of forehead and lower jaw line, just to get that sun kissed look!
I LOVE IT !!!!! It’s creamy, sparkly, glittery, so smooth to apply and the perfect colour. I found it really easy to work with after applying my translucent powder and bronzer... love love love this product !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rate this product 7/10 its an all round easy to apply, great coloured and fun product.

The next product I want to show you guys is: Models Prefer “instant glow” face & body highlighter.
$14.99 From: Price Line
My first reaction was that I LOVEDDDD the colour, it’s a peachy, pinkie, smooth and glittery.  I applied this product over my bronzing cream, thinking it was be a under base for my blush BUT i didn’t show up much at all.
I find this product struggles to appear over a nice covering foundation which is really annoying but works nicely as a under foundation glow or just applied over natural skin.
I rate this product 4/10 because it doesn't have a strong enough base/colour but still very pretty on natural skin.

Let’s move on to the next product that I want to show you guys:  Australis “lip & cheek combo”
$7.95 From: Price Line
Firstly I love the size of this product. I love products small enough to take with you in your daily makeup kit, so that was a big plus for me.
I firstly tried the lighter pink shade on my cheeks, LOVED IT!!!! its suttle, really dewy and easy to apply even though it’s a cream bronzer . To describe the lighter colour, it has a nice peachy tone to it without being too bland.
I then went ahead and tried the deep pink colour on my cheeks also and...... LOVED IT!!!! This colour is perfect for my tutorials as it is darker enough to show up in my lighting. It’s such a beautiful bright pink, but because it’s a cream you can really control the amount that goes onto your skin!!!!
I haven’t had a chance to try this product on my lips but when I do I will let you guys know I it went.
I think cream blushers are the best!!! They stay on allll day and complement a sun kissed dewy makeup look!!
I rate this product 8/10 Every girl should have a cream blush !!!

Going onto our next product: By Eye Studio " colour tattoo" Cream eyeshadow
35 tough as taupe
$12.00 From: Price Line

Firstly I was a bit disappointed in the colour. Its appeared more brown in the container but when I open it, it was almost grey. I thought I would give it ago anyway. I found this product not very covering, it seems a bit like a washed out dirt kind of colour lol . being that it was a cream eye shadow I thought it was be super covering and shimmery but I wasn't at all.

Down to personal preference, I don't really like dark cream shadows I prefer to use powder shadow to get that Smokey effect. I also find that cream shadow dry out really quickly after opening which can be a pain.

But If i would say anything nice about this product it would be that its long lasting and could be good as a liquid eyeliner or for any of your girls out there that like that heavy dewy dark eye.

I rate this product 4/10 because it wasn't a thick enough coverage !!!

Ok next product is: Essence " match 2 cover" Cream concealer
$4.25 From: Price Line

Firstly I thought the size of this product was so cute and handy. Being the price of this products I knew it wasn't going to be GREAT!!

I found that it was easy to move/spread over any foundation, bronzer or natural skin.....but .... I wasn't very covering at all! I would find this products perfect for someone who doesn't wear allot of make heavy makeup and only wants to lightly conceal particular areas on the face.

I'm not going to completely ride off this product because I love carrying around "emergency makeup" so that if I'm in desperate need I think this will come in handy for sure.

I rate this product 5/10 Handy to have :)

Last but not least: Models Prefer " Lip Stick"
015 Salted Caramel

$11.99 From Price Line

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!

I haven't found a cheap lip stick yet!!! That is so glossy, so creamy and completely hydrating!
I was so excited when I first tried this out. When I first applied it I LOVED the colour! Its so neutral but has tiny speckles of glitter to avoid that matt looking dry lip.

I suggest this colour as a every day lip colour or a perfect lip colour for an extreme eye make up look were you don't want your lips top over power.

I rate this product 9/10 Everyone should buy this lol

How to prepare for a spray tan

In this photo I was in Airlie beach on a holiday, I usually use the solarium before I go somewhere sunny but I didn’t have time for this holiday, so I got a spray tan. The brand is called Tuscan Tan. I got a full body 8hr activation spray tan. I love it because it natural looking without being too over the top.

What to do before the spray tan:

1.       Moisturize everyday up until your spray tan

2.       If you get any waxing done, wax the day before the spray tan

3.       1-2 days prior to your spray tan, exfoliate your entire body. Using a glove really does the trick in removing all that dead skin. You can pick this up from your local super market

4.       On the day of your spray tan have a shower, and free yourself from any product. Example: moisturizer, deodorant, perfume, oils and makeup :)

5.       Wear loose clothing to your appointment and brig a pair of thongs.

In a spray tan (manual spray tan) you will have the decision to wear nothing or disposable underwear. I recommend in wearing nothing!!  That way there is no lines, so no one will know that it’s fake tan.

After you have had the spray tan done, make sure you feel dry before putting on your clothes, please keep in mind that you will feel sticky but this does not mean you are not dry :)

Take your time putting your clothes on, leave your bra off and try to leave any type of shoe off for as long as you can.

Every spray tan has an activation time. The one I had done has a 8hr activation time, which means you can’t get wet for 8hrs, so make sure when you’re drinking or brushing your teeth that you don’t get it down your face :)

Usually spray tan is clear; the reason why you walk out instantly brown is because it’s a guide line colour (bronzer) for the therapist to see where she has sprayed on your body. So over the next 8hrs of wearing your spray tan, you are going to get very dark, because your tan underneath will be activating and you will also have the therapist guide line colour on (bronzer)

In the morning or 8hrs later you can have a shower and rinse off your spray tan. I always say just soap the areas needed. Try not to use and shower gel or soap over the spray tan because if these products have allot of perfume or citrus in them, they will dry out your skin which will minimize the wear of your tan.

Once you’re out of the shower, pat towel dry and moisturize, moisturize, MOISTERIZE! Try to stay away from chlorine or salt water as much as you can, if you want your spray tan to last 5-7 days. If your are on a holiday then swim it up and use a tan extender.

Any questions guys just email me :)

Cleansing your makeup off :)

As you guys have probably worked out, I’m a beauty therapist! I’ve been a therapist for over 10years now…wow that’s sounds so long.
As I’m in the beauty industry, appearance is everything, which means, makeup at all times. When I was younger around the age 12-18 years old I wouldn’t leave the house without it. My mum would ask me to run into the shops to grab something small but I wouldn’t go lol.
Being so young and like most young girls I was obviously very insecure. Makeup up made me feel glamorous and covered any imperfections that I had at the time, which was all the time.

Constantly seeing all the celebrities in the magazines looking so flawless all the time is and was hard to keep up with :). Until this day for my job I wear makeup. Finally at 25 years old I am ALMOST completely comfortable wearing no makeup BUT just not at work :)
For all of you out there reading this you probably love to wear makeup and as you know if you’re someone that wears makeup, caring for your skin is a MUST. Caring for your skin comes in all different forms. Drinking water, eating a healthy balanced diet, cleansing, toning, moisturizing exfoliating & so much more!!!

I’ve always said if you’re going to be someone who wears makeup you have to be clean at it. Meaning:  removing your makeup EVERYDAY NO EXCUSES! And making sure your clean your brushes! And PLEASE GIRLS PLEASE I can’t stress this enough, if you’re going to remove your makeup don’t do a half job, do it properly and you should have no issue with your skin drying out, breaking out etc! I have people constantly telling me “ohh makeup is bad for your skin” Yes, makeup does have chemicals in it etc, but removing this properly everyday and going to sleep with and clean face and giving your skin breaks from makeup is fine.

Point to this blog is for anyone out there, not knowing how to remove their makeup properly or not knowing what products are best for your skin :)
There are only really two types of cleansers in life…. A milk cleanser or a foam cleanser.
A milk cleanser is light creamy lotion and needs no water (only to remove)
A foam cleanser will need a small amount of water to foam up and will need water to remove.

There are many types of milk cleansers in the beauty industry, depending on what brand you’re currently using, most will stock a milk cleanser. I like milk cleansers because I feel really hydrated after I wash my face, instead of feeling tight and stripped of all my natural oils when using a foaming cleanser. In saying that a big percentage of people love foaming cleansers because foaming cleanser usually removes any unwanted makeup or dirt in one go, milk cleanser you will need to usually cleanse twice to remove makeup, once if just cleansing :)

For four years now I have been using a brand called Biolone that we used to stock at our salon. I was using in this range, a milk cleanser, tonic (toner) and a hydrating moisturizer. Recently my sister has moved on from this particular skin care range and moved or to a more natural products/range called Repechage.

Currently I’m using the Bioline milk cleanser, Repechage serum (before moisturizer) & Repechage moisturizing day cream. I never use products from the supermarket BUT If I am really desperate, I don’t mind Nivea refreshing cleansing lotion.
Follow this link to my YouTube channel, its a tutorial on how to cleanse your makeup off! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zU1ZUImXhc

Repechage Hydra dew moisturizing day cream retail $30 -$40
Repechage c -serum (before moisturizer) retail $40 - $50
Bioline Hydractive cleansing milk retail $40-60
Nivea refreshing cleansing lotion retail $9-$15
